I have an 05 6spd just recently hit the 100k mark, I keep her well maintained and currently have the aem cia. On my way to work this mornig the cel turned on so I scanned her once I got in the garage and had etc p0172 rich on bank two. Ive noticed her idle is a little ruff but i figgured it had to do with the milage but other than that she runs beautifuly. Im hoping that its reading rich because I havent redlined her in a week or two now and it may be a deposit or aan error. As of rite now the cel is still off but the driving cyle may not be complete. has anybody delt with this and am I going to have anothher project on my hands because of it?
Any advice or experience would be greatly apreciated.

 

I'd say wait a day or so and see if if the CEL comes back. There are a number of things that could have caused it to run rich for a brief moment, but unless it's a continuous thing, I wouldn't stress over it.

If it comes back on.. check you intake and air filter. A clogged or dirty air filter can restrict air, causing it to run rich. Also check/clean your MAF..

 

Will do so far still no cell Im working a double today and have access to the garage here at work ill check the intake and clean the MAF. thanks for the info Andrew

 

Clean MAF, upstream O2 might be going out also.
