just bought used, what should i look for?

just joined rx8club, great site btw, but I'm wondering what should I look for that I bought this 8? its an 05 auto gt with 9,800 mi (8,900 when I got it). I'm getting around 18-20 mpg so far, nothing really big that I've noticed other than the brakes sqeeking. it doesn't make a sound when I tap them lightly or when I push them hard, but just the right pressure and they sqeek. I plan on going to the dealership in the next week or so. heard about the flash thing too, what should I say to the dealer when I get there to make sure I get the most outta my car? thnx guys!

Just make sure that all the TSB's that deal with issues have been done..

The brake squeel is a TSB and it is fixable... I had it done to mine.

Flashes, heat shield TSB, Air conditioner TSB...

Full list here.

Good luck with your new 8.. I hope you enjoy it!!

Cheers

Congrats and welcome to the club! Definitely print out all the TSBs and have the dealer check them all for you. You still have the factory bumper to bumper warranty so it's free to you. If he gives you flak you can Call MNAO or find another dealer that will take care of you right. A good dealer is a beautiful thing.

Where are you located? Check out the regional forums on the bottom of the main page and find out where most of the other owners in your area have had good experiences. It makes all the difference.
