Interior lights come on briefly when turning
Hey guys
I've been looking at the forums for a while now, never posted anything before - i've been able to find answers to my questions through searching.
However, tonight I was driving and was surprised that whenever i turned right, the interior lights would come on briefly. The lights I am referring to are the 2 lights just behind the rear view mirror, which have their own dedicated on/off buttons.
Anyway I've tried searching, couldnt find anything. Oh and I have a 2004 6-speed, 70k kilometres, car is unmodified except for HIDs and exterior LED bulbs. All interior bulbs are stock.
Any ideas?

Yes, you didn't close your driver's side doors completely, so the "door open" sensor would detect the door opening whenever you turned right & activate the "courtesy lights" as a response Has happened to me a couple of times.

^..............FYI..........Those are map lights, not courtesy lights..................but yeah, it could be the door isn't shut or it thinks it's not due to a bad door switch.
Do the real courtesy lights, the ones on the door come on as well?

Okay i feel pretty stupid haha. I closed all 4 doors solidly and it seems fine now. In my defence, i went to 2 different destinations last night and then drove home, and it happened while travelling to each destination - so i didnt think it i would have not closed my door properly 3 times hahah. I think the rear doors probably had something to do with it though.
Thanks for your help guys!
