Infrequent Idle searching when cold, can't easily recreate the problem
When the car is cold, it sometimes idle searches between ~800 to ~2000 rpm.
It seems to be very infrequent and goes away once the car reaches operating temperature.
It happened two days ago and I found out a little more about the problem, so I'm going to write the symptoms and hopefully someone here will be able to give me an idea how to fix it, or at least recreate it for the dealer.
I tried this morning to get it to happen by doing exactly the same thing I did two days ago, but the idle was stable.
I have taken it to the dealer twice now, but they haven't been able to recreate it, so they just give me the car back.
1) The car is in neutral, AC off, clutch is out (my foot is off the pedal) -> idle surges
2) Neutral, AC off, clutch in -> stable
2) Neutral, AC on, clutch out -> stable
4) Neutral, AC on, clutch in -> stable
Some people have suggested the neutral switch. But if that were the case, wouldn't the idle be searching all the time? regardless of engine temp, AC?

Next time this occurs if you put your foot and press your clucth down if the surging stops your neutral clucth swicth is faulty , this happened in my ride and it progressively got worse , it only happens on cold starts , its an easy fix .

Idle switch like youve been told. Its under warranty as long as your title is clear and youre within 50k miles..
the best way to recreate it for the dealer is to tell them thats whats wrong..

I have told the dealer my symptoms but they're pretty much telling me that unless they can recreate it they're not gonna do anything.
I suppose I could try taking it to another deal in the dfdub to see what they say.
