idle dipping

guage where it is located? i cant really tell but after a short drive i look under the car about 2 in wide blowing out of hot hair somewhere next to the passerger seat , u seem to know alot about rx8 lol

My CAT just went bad at 76k miles on the OEM. My engine constantly threw the P0420 error (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)). Sure enough when I took my 8 to mazda today they said it was indeed my Cat that had gone bad and they ordered the parts to do it. I have to go back in a week for them to replace it!

it seems like a few people are having this problem. I redlined it a few times and its back to normal for now. I think I un clogged it but I will be getting it checked out after I clear my o2 light lol

does it cover under warranty???

Yes ANYTHING emissions related is covered at 8yr/80,000 miles. If it is a bad cat you should be throwing a P0420 CEL code.
