usaly when things get stuck like that, i bring the heat... I have yet to do my brakes/rotors as i fear i may endup like you and the others, as with them screws, they should of been hex/allen key bolts not a philips head (easiest thing to strip IMO).

good luck.

After the car is assembled that screw is no longer needed. Find a drill bit slightly smaller and drill out the screw.

I had the same problem last year. Damn things are frozen on.

Either drill it out or use this tool made for it. Its like a screwdriver type thing that you hit at one end with a hammer (the one with sand in i t). As you hit it, it makes a small rotation. This helps prevent stripping as the tool is being forced into the screw at the same time its rotating.

Someone please tell me the damn name. Im having a brain fart.

Soak the screws in penetrating fluid and then properly use the above-alluded impact driver to remove the screws.

kingaaron beat me to it. Your actually supposed to remove those using an impact screwdriver.
