help! rotors!

help! rotors!

ok so i cant take off the screw on the brake rotor on the front, got one out but they bits keep on braking or screw driver, that screw is on there so tight


and i cant find anywhere that shows how to do it

plz help

usaly when things get stuck like that, i bring the heat... I have yet to do my brakes/rotors as i fear i may endup like you and the others, as with them screws, they should of been hex/allen key bolts not a philips head (easiest thing to strip IMO).

After the car is assembled that screw is no longer needed. Find a drill bit slightly smaller and drill out the screw.

I had the same problem last year. Damn things are frozen on.

Either drill it out or use this tool made for it. Its like a screwdriver type thing that you hit at one end with a hammer (the one with sand in i t). As you hit it, it makes a small rotation. This helps prevent stripping as the tool is being forced into the screw at the same time its rotating.

Someone please tell me the damn name. Im having a brain fart.

Soak the screws in penetrating fluid and then properly use the above-alluded impact driver to remove the screws.

kingaaron beat me to it. Your actually supposed to remove those using an impact screwdriver.
