Hey everyone, i would love it if i could get an explanation for this!
so im driving along until my engine gets warmed up and then at the next stop i decide to punch it..no big deal right..but my check engine light came on flashing when i did, and after about 20 seconds it stopped, it was in a cold temp, but the car was warm, does any1 know what could be wrong?

Mileage and year would help too!

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs?
How about coils?

probably a misfire - as stated above, check the ignition components - coils/plugs/wires

How long were you driving before this happened? The water temp gauge on this car is a joke, so even though the needle may have been in it's parked position about midway, the engine may not have been warmed up enough to avoid the limp mode caused by a "cold" engine. I don't know what temp the PCM reads to determine whether or not to go into limp mode, but it could be oil temp which is slower than water temp to reach "operating" temp in most cars.

I'd put my money on plugs/wires/coils, and yes, I would take it in to the dealer. At least you might be able to get some free parts out of it if it's a warranty issue.
