Help me diagnose.. (TCS, vacuum leak, starting issues etc)
Hi all,
I have a starting point but i just want to get some more feedback of possible issues before i bust into it this weekend.
I know i have a vacuum leak. I recently removed my primary and secondary upper intake manifold so i could clean part of the lower intake manifold and the SSV etc. Since re-installing everything i've had and extremely tiny and annoying vacuum leak. I'm going to tear it down again and make sure everything is in good order and re-torque everything just to be sure.
Besides the vacuum leak i've notice two other issues. One is that my TCS light is on constantly. I've done all the tricks i know to reset it (lock-to-lock etc etc) and nothing works. It also seems like TCS is not always on it seems like clockwork that i can give it the beans heading out of my development and kick it sideways every time like TCS is not on.. But by the time i get to the next stop sign and take a turn while accelerating hard the TCS kicks in and doesn't let me spin the tires the same way it let me a few seconds earlier.
Also, almost without fail my car will not start on the first attempt but always start the second time i crank it over. I'm pretty sure it only happens during cold starts though. It acts like it doesn't remember the cold start warm-up process. Instead of firing up and reving around 2k and then dropping as it warms up it just fires up to warm idle RPM which causes it to just fizzle and die.. The second time around it performs the warm up procedure.
I feel like they are all related but its really frustrating. The way the car drives has not changed. I just have these weird little bugs and i don't what could be causing them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Have you checked vacuum to see what it really is?
Like anything else... if you work on something and it behaves differently afterwards, go back and verify everything you messed with.
Remember to have the vac line connected to the rear of the UIM (for the vac chamber that runs to the solenoids).
Verify the VFAD is connected (or capped if applicable).
Ensure the purge solenoid is connected along with the return line that has a blue disconnect.
And obviously.... everything else you had to remove along the way.
