Help ! Flashing CEL
Hey guys !
I just installed an AP pulley this sunday, since then my cars CEL has been flashing all the time, sometimes stopping to be continuous.
What has been done up to now :
I doubled check my installation, doing it all again A-Z
I took the codes witch are P0300 and P0302, I know those mean misfire and rotor malfunction.
I reseted the car comp by unplugging my battery.
The car runs super good, no problems except the CEL, I don't understand why its doing this anyone has a clue of what to do ?
Thanks a lot !

Your CEL is blinking because you are experiencing a misfire. Since I am sure that with the number of AP pulleys out there and no complaints that it is probably not related to your pulley...but could be. Since you checked your install I would start with assuming that it is a coincidence and start working from the other end checking plugs, wires and coils.

You need to reset the eccentric shaft profile by turning the key to the ON position (but don't start the engine) and stepping on the brake pedal 20 times rapidly. When the reset is successful the oil pressure gauge will sweep over then back to resting position. Turn car off, take key out. Then put the key back in and start the car and let it idle until it's settled (it may be a little rough at first) then drive the car normally without heavy throttle for the first 20 minutes or so, then see if the problem persists.
I installed mine just like you did except you seemed to miss the e-shaft reset step.
EDIT: Charles beat me to it!

Hey guys its me again !
I've been trying for the past 20 minutes to do this e shaft reset your talking about. I don't skip any step but the car doesn't seem to respond. The only thing I got it to do was the oil-P going up, than down again. I don't know if thats what it is but if yes, should I still have a check engine light after that ?
Thanks for your help !
