After reading the excellent post by Wingnut it sounds like the problem I am having on my 2005. However I want to confirm the problem before I start taking the radio/temp console apart.

When I perform the EASY DIAGNOSIS (Radio Power button & Scan up combination) I do not get the "A/C TEMP" in the left of display. I must be doing something stupid.....I have tried the combination w & w/o the engine running. I also noticed a very odd thing the power button on the radio does not always work and if I eventually do get the power button to power the radio off, I can not get it to power on with the power button....I have to hit the AM/FM button to get it powered on.

Any help would be appreciated!
