Recently installed K&N typhoon intake and Turbo XS exhaust with the race pipe. couple hundred miles later...u guessed it.....a CEL! It says its the O2 sensor "rear" and that the 1 and 3 spark plugs are miss firing. So i got new spark plugs and was instructed to buy a "phony" for lack of a better word.... O2 sensor.
do you guys think this is the right thing to do?

turbo xs race pipe = midpipe?
If so, it's because the O2 sensor that used to be in the stock cat is freaking out due to the new midpipe. (along the lines of the phoney 02)
I think there's a way to bypass it, might be in the Tech section.
what codes did you get? Did you pull them?
Have you checked your ignition coils? Maybe they've gone bad. Who installed your plugs? Sure they're hooked up properly? The cables are securely attacked to the plugs? Trailing and leading in the right place?
