When I'm driving at night I've noticed that I get Flashed a lot. Then tonight I was following my wife home from dinner and she said that occasionally my headlight would get brighter and dimmer then brighter again, and after a few second it would stop. The road was perfectly flat, I wasn't accelerating and there where no noticable bumps in the road.

The odd thing is I noticed no difference while driving, anyone else have an issue like this. Is there something I should look?

 

I suspect that the road was not "perfectly" flat and so any slight difference in elevation/orientation between the 2 vehicles could be resulting in the very distinct upper "edge" of the illuminated area moving slightly up and down in her rear view mirror. If you don't see it from the drivers seat, I doubt if the "problem" is caused by a malfuntion of the lighting system. You could always switch cars and see what she is seeing. My two cents.
