Headlight "Aim"
Headlight "Aim"
Need some help. Just got my 8 back after 3 weeks of deer repair to the front end. While driving last night, my headligts appeared very bright the first 10 or 15 feet or so, like they were pointed straight down. I had to pretty much put my high beams on to see further in front. Can these things be aimed or positioned differently when repaired, or am i just seeing things and getting used to my car again? Thanks for the help!
Just so you know....I had my HID's swapped for the interior film or residue. When they installed, they did not aim them. I took it back and they gave me the line "they auto level".
If you have HID's then there is a white plastic piece at the rear of the headlight assembly. There is a small hole, and through that hole you will see a shiny little gear. Needs a phillips head screwdriver to turn and adjust. Just in case the are not too bright and dont know how....just like my dealer was.

yes, after driving tonight in the dark, they are definitely too low....almost to dangerous levels. I do have the HID lights...have to get them to fix....
Thanks for the advice on how to do it yourself!
