I have a 04 automatic Rx8. I live in MI and we have had a few pretty cold months this winter and i noticed that in the morning maybe the first of second time it shifts into 2nd gear, it hits pretty hard, like throws me into my seat. Is this due to the weather or temp outside. Do it point to something going on the transmission? I do let it warm up anywhere between 5-15min each morning before i drive it.

Just a guess, but maybe the fluid is not warm enough?
