gooey residue

hi every time i change my oil there is a white gooey residue all over my dipstick,this is doin my head in has anybody got any ideas of what the problem is

Doing a search for "milky" "substance" "residue" "dipstick" etc... easily turns up lots of threads on this. Common, and it isn't an issue. It happens in cold weather.
