Two weeks ago I dropped off my RX-8 at The local Mazda dealership to have a reman installed. Today I picked it up and drove it home. Once in my garage I opened the hood to have a look see. Well, the first thing I see is the accordion tube is lined up with but not pressed on the throttle body!!
So after installing the accordion tube I jump in the car and head off down the road.Then while accelerating up an on ramp I hear something banging on the underside, and from the rear view mirror I see see a small object bouncing down the road. Thinking I just hit some road debris I continued on. Awhile later I noticed that when I decelerated my car would vibrate and make a rumble noise. Concerned about this I went home to investigate. After lifting the car and crawling under it I found the PPF was held in place with one nut! A second nut was loose and the last two nuts were missing!!! Well, at least now I know what was bouncing between the car and the road.
My concern now is that there might be some damage from driving it with a loose PPF.
Going to call the dealership in the morning to resolve the issue. Anyone have any advice on what I should ask them?

Go in there letting them know what you've found and the issues you've seen since getting back the car. You may get some push back and let them know you plan on calling corporate if there is no swift resolution. You should not be getting back improper installation from neglect by the technicians.
