Gear Oil Leaking, Cannot See Where It's Coming From
Alright guys, for the past month the nearest Mazda dealership had my car for my transmission issues (couldn't downshift into 2nd w/o grinding).
Well I changed my oil yesterday and saw that my powerplant frame was wet. I touched it and sure enough it was gear oil. Well I drove the car again after drying it all up and last night I came to find that it was wet again. It's obviously not totally leaking because everytime I've parked I haven't left any drops or anything. My initial thought is that the driveshaft is not in all the way. What do you guys/girls think? |

can't seem to isolate the problem or source of leak???
then go to the local parts store and buy some dye and a black light. add to the one you feel most is likely having the leak, and then check with the light after driving. |
