Fuel smell inside of cabin
Here is the situation, I've had this ongoing fuel smell in my cabin for quite some time now. It happens when I'm at a dead stop and the air vents are circulating from outside. I went to the dealership only to find out that they cannot find any problems with the car, typical. At a dead stop, the smell is just too strong that I am forced to turns off the air vents, but it does not happen when the car is moving. Any suggestions as to what I can look into in order to fix this problem? Please help.

Okay:
1: are you running a midpipe?
2: your join date is 04 so have you had this car the whole time?
3: Have you tried just circulating the air inside the car (I run a midpipe, so I circulate the inside air except when moving at good speeds unless I wanna get high on hydrocarbons).
Possibilities:
If you are not running a midpipe, sounds like you may have a leak in your exhaust. that would explain the smell when not movin, esp when the outside vents are open.

check everything mentioned above, a clogged cat smells bad, i see you dont have midpipe listed in your mods so I will disregard it. Try this i had a similar issue after I swapped out fuel pumps. Pop off the drivers side rear passenger seat(lower portion), you will be able to see the metal shield from where the fuel pump is located. Undo the screw with a screw driver and open it up, you should be able to see the top portion of the fuel pump assemble and a black hose that attaches to a nipple. Make sure its pushed in snugly . Dont over do it though because you might snap off the nipple that the hose attaches to and thats a big no no.

Thanks for all of the responses. i am not running a midpipe right now so that cannot be the issue. I do not have any rattles from 4-7k rpm. I will check to see if it could possibly be the exhaust. Hopefully its just a minor problem.

my friend had the same problem and she had a gas leak right about the fuel tank. yes it's odd, however that's where the problem was causing the smell inside the cabin. check around there my friend. good luck.
