Front brakes rattling and loudly clicking
After installing track pads, I have a single loud click when applying the brakes. This only happens on the front left wheel. Almost as if the pads are moving in the bracket (only my guess).
I removed the pads and bent the "tension" hardware clip that puts pressure on the pad to lessen movement, but the problem still remains.
Sometimes when in a left turn the clicking happens with wheel speed, but only a left turn, and if I apply brakes, the sound goes away. Could the pad be binding and popping during a turn?
Can someone please tell me the proper clip locations for the hardware? Is the springier clip supposed to be installed on the bottom or top of the bracket?
Thanks!
More info: Track pads are Carbotech F XP10/R XP8 on brand new rotors. Front calipers are both new.
