Fluctuating Cruise control @120km/hr

My cruise control does not hold various high speeds............does anyone else speed and rpm pull up and down (a little) at 120km/hr? It quit annoying when your head is moving back and forth with the rpm....

When that started happening on my 89 Buick Riv, the waterpump went out like a day later...lmao. Only input I have.
