So I added a THMotorsports midpipe to my greddy sp2 exhaust. Ever since i did that the 8 has been shotting alot of flames. And its been burning the fiberglass above my exhaust. so i put aluminum tape on the fiber glass... but it will only last for a little while before i have to keep replacing it =[

does anyone have any tips on how to keep it from burining my fiberglass!!!

lower your exhaust a bit with longer hangers

or get smaller tips because greddy tips are pretty huge.

 

I like my tips... if theres any way possible i would like to keep them

 

Another option is to get a tune from Jeff if you can get your hands on an AP. It's the expensive route but the long term fuel savings is worth it, at least to me.

 

or just sell the exhaust to me

 

make actual metal heat shields instead of that tape

 

Ill have too look into having those made. Do you have a guesstimate of how much they would be to have made?
