I picked up my car from the dealer on thursday after getting a new ventillation kit, coils, plugs, wires and a replacement engine. After driving approx. 120 miles of normal low rpm highway driving my cel pops on. I chalk it up to the fact that I just filled up recently so I pulled the battery off to clear the code and tightened gas cap. 160 miles later its on again so I go to autozone to have code read and its the P0456 code which is usually due to a loose gas cap. Can anyone provide me with some insight as to what this could be. Is it possible that my gas cap is faulty? By the way I have just under 56,000 miles on the car.

 

Gas caps do fail on this car and you can't tell by looking at them. The part is cheap so I would try getting a new cap 1st
