TX Engine/Exhast question(backfire/pop)(accel and decel)

new to mazda i have 2004 mazda rx-8 100000 miles.
didnt have any problems till the battery died.
after it died(though it maybe because of winter)
my car has been popping it does have a magnaflow exhast system dont know if it makes a difference(already on the car when i bought it) kinda like water is in the gas idk if it may be the exhast or oil or gas but if you have had this problem help is welcomed... thanks.

If you are catless and the popping happens when you lift your foot off the throttle, especially after some....spirited driving, then it's normal

if your battery died, your fuel trims got reset, so there would be some anomalies during idle and accel, but nothing severe.

at 100k miles, more info is needed, last time coils replaced, spark plugs replaced?
