the engine blow off in a day

The engine spoiled in a day on the high way with less than 100 miles per hour.
One month before my engine was like this:
What could happened?

I don't speaky your language. Are you saying your engine blew up in a day? If so, either user error or bad install.

Did you leave your engine on the roof? I forgot a cup of coffee on my roof once and it blew off on the highway.

Ok first for all forgive me for my bad English but i believe every one understand what i mean.
I was driving on the high way for 10 minutes with 5th gear and the car stopped accelerating fast so i put the 4th gear and it does not go over 90 miles. i slow down and the car stop working. Thats it !!!!

Is it a new motor? How many KM/Miles on the motor? Year of car? Was it acting weird before it lost power?

^ its 2004 everything was ok before an hour!!! i said 34.000 miles!!!
and then it sounds like a boxster and when i take my leg for the accelerate pedal the engine stopped so i thought that it could be a spark plug or a pipe or something else. i check it and everything was good. i try to start up the engine but
So i went to mazda service an as you seen in the first image the engine is dead!!! in both rotors

I still can barely make what you're saying, but sounds like you blew your engine, case closed. Get a new engine.

He went form good compression to fail level compression in a month. That's what he's saying.
Can't really tell you why this would happen. Your car should have warranty (I don't know foreign warranty policies from Mazda) so get a new engine.

Looks to me like you lost an Apex seal. Why? I don't know.

Did you mess with the Cobb tune on your own?

Who did the tuning on the Accessport? And did you hear any knocking/pinging just before you lost power?
Exhaust should not cause any issues with the engine. Unless it is completely plugged causing major restrictions.

Tuning could definitely cause engine failure. It happens all the time. As Easy said, who tuned it?

Was it Easytune/EZtune (?) that did the Accessport tuning?

Maybe send your tuning MAP if you still have it to MazdaManiac, or someone who could tell you if it's problematic.

Sounds to me like you were a little lean on the tune at that rpm and detonation occurred. That would cause an Apex seal to break. It's possible.
I have no way of knowing with out looking at the tune on the AP.

There is another item that could have caused this too. And people are going to be irritated that I mention it. The Ignition coils could have something to do with it also.

sorry for you engine.
Anyway you should consider your OMP maps as well. Something that i noticed here in europe is that MANY dealers FORGOT to do the engine computer recalls.
I already had 3 rx8s fail here in italy this year just because they didn't have that reflash. Loss of power, poor lubrication and when you tear the engines down you see why...
How are your oil injection maps set? did the tuner mess up with those as well as the fuel\ignition maps?

Mazsport coils did cause problems to some users as well. Greece is in a pretty hot climate so the whole ignition system and the fuel pump are over-stressed. Same for the engine if it doesn't have the proper lubrication.

Were you premixing?

I hope this helps.

Giorgio
