Unhappy DSC Light on after Bad Curbing

OK, so I just curbed my right rear tire pretty hard. Soon thereafter, my DSC Light was on and stayed on. I looked at the tire and everything looks fine except for a pretty rough gash on the wheel and tire (as you'd expect).

I know that light staying on means that there is a DSC or TCS malfunction.

It doesn't look like there is anything really wrong but when i restart my car, the light comes on after a minute or so. I also tried to turn off DSC right when i start my car. I get the "DSC OFF" light but pretty soon thereafter that light goes off and the other DCS Light (the car skidding) comes on.

Another weird thing... It seems like when I turn off my car, it's popping my trunk open!

I understand if something happened with DCS and I hope it's just one of those things that needs to be reset. If not, what seem like other likely scenarios? Might my alignment be fucked up? What kind of dollars will this cost me? And does the trunk thing make ANY sense whatsoever?

Somebody help me out here... The dealerships don't open til TUESDAY!

UPDATE (2/21/05):

OK, so I just drove my car for the first time since the incident. I tried to reset my DSC (turning left and then right) but it didn't make a difference. I think something is up with my rear differential... I get hopping at low speeds and it makes way too much tire noise when I make sharp turns at very low speeds (parking). I also seem to be hearing a clicking noise coming from my rear driver's side wheel... Fortunately, it seems like the trunk thing was just a coincidence (or maybe it had to do with my attempts to turn the DSC off while the malfunction was on)

Somebody help!

I jumped a curb in mine, too. Alignment was $89 at the dealer.

Well, in case anyone cares, I just had it looked at and the wheel was apparently cracked, as well as the knuckle. A bolt will also need to be replaced and the whole thing will need to be realigned. Total Cost: $1,600. All because of a sloppy turn.

Ouch!

You may have shorted something in the wiring from the jolt. Hopefully all will be ok after the repair.
