Good news is my replacement engine has about 18k on it and is still going strong. Bad news my wife had the drivers side window get stuck in the down position. Gently pulled up on it as hitting the button and was able to get it back up. Makes a ratching sound like a clutch slipping. then pull up a little and she'll go up a few inches. New motor??? or any other ideas before I tear the door apart?

 

It could be that the track has come loose. Apparently they do that.

 

Common thing to happen on the 8s I think there was a TSB on problems with the Window tracks. Do a search you will be surprised on what you fine.
