hey guys.. i have a problem with my 8. it seems to be a bit stubborn when i give it a hot start. cold starts are fine.. works like a charm. after i turn it off and lets say i stop by a gas station to get something to eat, when i go and start it, it turns on but has a hard time idling. it starts! it cranks like 2 or 3 times like normal but it just doesn't idle. its an 04 automatic with 40000 miles. i have to give it some gas so it won't die. after switching from park to reverse to drive (i have to do it super fast so it won't give out on me) it would work like a charm. usually i only have to give it gas like 10 seconds keeping it above 1 rpm and it would idle. do you think its ess? i've read on here that cleaning it would help rough idle... what do you guys think?

I am having similar issues wiht my '05 AT. Starts and runs fine when cool. On hot days, the RPM dips below 500 at idle and can stall. Very difficult to start as well.

I did clean the MAF filter and it seemed to help a little, but hasn't made the issue go away. Appointment with the stealer next week for a compression test and diagnostic.
