Defloding questions

Hello, I have the understanding on how to do the procedure but there are some concerns I have by doing it. I have an 04 model and it has water in the engine, would doing the deflooding procedure cure that problem? And my second question is: would it be safe to do the deflooding procedure if the car has been sitting on the driveway for about 6 years?

Sad to hear a story about this car sitting for 6 years. Who spends $30k or whatever it was and just lets it sit :/

Anyway, if it has water - coolant - in the engine, then you need a rebuild. But, to at least be able to start it up, suggest you take out the spark plugs and suck or wick as much of the water our as possible before turning it over. Spin it with the plugs out and the eccentric shaft position sensor disconnected for the first time, just to get things moving and oil flowing without combustion and compression.
