Coolant light comes on when at high Rpm
srry if someone already posted this i couldnt find a post about this anyways i have a 04 bit Rb intake and exausht. i take it to the track every once in a while and i noticed when i stay at high rpms 6-9,5 for a couple mins the coolent light comes on. but when i put it in neutral with in sec it goes away and i can keep going on but it only happens when im in high rpm only and really doesnt do it in 6th gear but should i be worried about this? plz help
cool cool i hope thats works cuz this morning it came on in 6th gear when i was at 4000 rpm and doing around 70mph and didnt come off untill i parked but my temp was normal so what is this part i have to replaced called and i can run at at high rpms with no problem for a long time right?
yeah, just tell the dealer the coolant light is coming on for seemingly no reason, and they'll replace your box. then no more light.
in the meantime, you might try putting a little distilled water in the coolant box. it's the clear probably dirty looking box in the front next to the battery with the warning cap.
olddragger told me to do that, and it worked for a little while.

dude im a mechanic i know where the coolant tank lol but thanks for telling me, i rather not go to the dealership since i am very capable on doing this myself, i just dont know sht about the rotary engine this is why i bought the car, and my coolant level is fine i allways check that when i do my oil level check every other fill up, i just need to know wat i need to replace and i can take it from there but thank you very much for helping me i really appreciate all your guys help
everyone says its "fine" and 90 % of them that actually added some after i told them found the light went off and stayed off, the others actually had a bad sensor and needed a new tank. so you can go ahead and sprnd the money on the tank or you can try adding a litte.
i added more this morning before work its about 3inch above the max when i got to work 1 hour later about 35 miles. light still came on, so now wat do i have to replace?
topping up the fluid will work for a while, but it's not a permanent fix. I've had mine topped up to above the F mark a couple times now and I'm still having my light go on at high RPMS. The only way to get it to turn off is let the revs drop below 2k for several seconds. The first top up solved my problem for a good 6 months, and every time after that it's become more frequent.
