TX coolant boiling

i just recently bought my 04 rx8 monday took it out to see what it'll do got to 125 and the engine was pushing all my coolant out the temp gauge stayed the same never got too hot. my girl took it to work the next day and the coolant light was on. when she came home it died on her and now it won't start. i went and got the car from where it died put coolant in it and left the cap off well when i went to start it coolant shot up about 2 foot high did i mess up something?

Dude! Take a class in auto mechanics!

Most of the time when you over heat a car the engine is toast.

Keep the cap on.

Some people have no business owning a car, let alone a rotary. If you overheated it to the point it died then you likely did permanent damage to it.

A gusher of coolant after an overheat only means one thing - melted 'O' rings.

You should tell the mechanic who rebuilds it, save him some time.

Did my first rotary 'O' ring job in 1976.....after an overheat.

just because you have (had?) a 88 FC doesn't mean you know what you are doing smarty.

idea is simple, if you know what you are doing, you wouldn't even need to start this thread.

in the other words, you don't know ****.

I am so happy that you blew your engine. now **** off and enjoy your ban.

It never overheated as was said in the post I'm tearing the engine apart and going to do a rebuild on it if it is ok and going to post pics I'm on here asking for help not to be criticized saying I shouldn't own an rx8 yes I messed up and if the engines blown then I'll apologize but I'm think it's the coolant rings i have no antifreeze in the oil no oil in my combustion chamber just antifreeze passing through my combustion chamber to my exhaust I started it up after doing the deflooding process and my back rotor chamber filled with water
