Is this what I disconnect to see if it's the air pump:

Sorry, it has been so long since I have posted. I finally got my car back from the dealership with the new air pump and the high pitched sound is gone. Thanks for everbodys help on this matter.

I was drawn to this thread via the SEARCH function. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting their input, it will surely help me diagnose noises I have. There is one noise I cannot figure if it's normal or not. The 6 speed when started makes a noise when clutch petal is released; mostly heard when cold. To be more specific it sounds like a humming, not a grinding.

That's the throw out bearing and seems to be more or less normal. Personally I never heard it until this past weekend when I changed back to Redline MT90. Perhaps another part of the motivation to do a reflush of my transmission oil.

How much did the pump cost? And how much was the labor?

All parts and labor were covered under my warranty, I will see if I can get this info and post it. I am not familiar enough with the rotary motor to comment if it is a DIY job.
