FL Coils, Spark Plugs, Engine Mount????? help

I went into Mazda dealer to service my car, quoted me $1743. For new coils & engine mount. I live in FL btw.(crazy price). That's is not including spark plugs. So I decided to DIY. I have been reading for about 2 days now how to DIY, multiple threads say to remove the air filter box to get to the coils and spark plugs. Some say to remove the driver side wheel is easier. Keep in mind that my air filter is stock(the hard one to remove). Also am going to go with the NGK coil packs and spark plugs($255), oem right? And thats a good brand right? also keep in mind I am a total noob, but a careful one. please anyone that could help that would be highly appreciated.

Gratz and thumbs up for going DIY rather than getting raped by the dealer

The air box needs to be removed to access the coils. No other option.

The spark plugs can be accessed several different ways, with the wheel well being the easiest.

You should be able to get the price of coils, plugs, and wires to under $200, so $255 for just coils and plugs is still a bit too high.

The NGK plugs for $20 each are the only option to go for. They are OEM and also the best.

The coil packs are available from most parts stores, several online spots, etc...

Removing the air box is not needed specifically for the spark plugs, and removing the air box has no impact on the accessibility of the spark plugs. Once you see where everything is, you will understand.
