Hello, I'm new to this forum and needed some assistance from you guys. I woke up this morning and check engine light comes on. I take it to Advance Auto zone and they did a Computer scan and came up with Code P506 which what is wrong with my car is like when I turn on my car and I don't push the gas in it will get lower RPM under 500 and shuts off. It is a Auto with 90k Miles a 2004. I bought the car at 83K only thing I know so far is that it has a K&N Cold are intake modify done to the car.

 

P0506 Idle air control system RPM lower than expected ON 2 CCM ´
(See DTC P0506 )

Vacuum leak or dirty maf.
Ditch the K&N intake and put the stock back on if you have it still.

 

Edit: Is there a DIY on how to clean the MAF?

I don't have the stock one as I bought it like that. How can I fix the problem?
