Clutch play

OK this problem has got me crazy.
I recently purchased a RX 8 to run at the track. I'm in the process of fixing a number of problems. The one problem I can not solve is the clutch play. I have about 3-4" of play in the clutch. I've replaced Clutch slave and Clutch master. Still have 3-4" of play. The search I have found on the site say to bleed the clutch again and again. I have been bleeding the clutch for two days no luck. Tried Vacuum method, Gravity and added a speed bleeder no change in the amount play. If there was a leak in the lines I assume the pedal would hit he floor and a period of time. The play stays the same. I also see you can adjust he pedal travel but it is small amount.

Any suggestions other than bleeding

I'd guess either you're not adjusting the pushrod enough or your clutch pedal bracket is broken. It's a common problem, search the forums and you'll see multiple examples.

You have to get under there (on the floorboard) and look at it. Either there is play between the acuation rod or not or the clutch pedal mounting weld has broken or not. There is always the possibility that some zoom-zoom-buffoon ricer misfit intentionally adjusted it or modifed that way out of ignorance ...
