Clutch pedal bracket or Slave cylinder?
Clutch pedal bracket or Slave cylinder?
So today driving to work my clutch pedal got stuck to the floor and I had to literally use my foot to pull it back up. It let me shift gears but engaged really shortly and stayed on the floor after shifting. After I pulled into work the clutch was loose and even fully depressed it stayed on the floor and I wasnt able to shift in any gear, had to push it into a space into the parking lot. After work I chanced it and decided to drive home (having to use my foot to pull the clutch pedal off the floor) I used to the clutch minimally and rev matched while slipping in and out of gears. I haven't got a chance to remove the clutch pedal assembly, which ill do tomorrow. But could this be something else? I'm leaning towards a broken pedal and hoping it isn't my slave cylinder. The clutch pedal doesn't have much side to side play.

I can point one thing; that guide for the push-rod is bent out of alignment, may have been before or after you removed the bracket. Anyway, once installed, if that rod is not where it is supposed to be, then that coyld be your problem. You may not need to purchase a new one, just bend that guide back into place. I will see if I could find a picture of how it should look like, or you can search the site for any thead that may have that picture
The guide for the pushrod meaning the little sliver of metal piece? Yeah it looked bent outta place when I was removing the assembly. Could that be why my clutch is sticking to the floor?
Im thinking of ordering a new slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder to replace em both but there dont seem to be any DIY's here for those and the both cylinders look pretty tough to reach. Anyone have any tips for changing em?

I may not be the primary cause, but the guide for the push-rod could be one of the reason. It was not a DIY that I came across years ago about replacing the master cylinder. I think Mazurfur was the primary person who responded to that thread. Just rebuilt the cylinder instead of replacing it with a new one, if I remember reading it.
Could you verify if you are loosing any fluid?

That guide holds the rod in place as you install it to make sure it goes into the hole and bends back as you tighten the assembly down. The part of the slave that comes through the firewall actually bends it back like that. Once the pedal is in place the rod should not come out far enough to come fall out of the slave cylinder and become stuck.
If you still have the bracket off, could you take a picture of the back part of the bracket around the spring? Below is how that guide should look:

I actually put the assembly back in, but I think im gonna remove it again tomorrow (since ill be working tonight) to readjust the pushrod guide as you guys mentioned. Right now my 8s parked up and out of commission. Worse feeling ever especially since its my daily. Hopefully I can get this problem resolved asap. Need my car running.
The spot welds on my bracket were still held together but I will definitely be ordering the reinforced bracket from Race Roots as soon as I can sort out this whole issue with the pushrod guide and if ill have to replace my clutch master and slave cylinders.
So I moved the guide and the clutch held pressure for a few pumps then started sticking again.
I ordered a new slave and clutch master cylinder and will replace both. The clutch master is pretty straight forward and can be replaced quite easily. I think ill be removing the UIM to replace the slave.
