clutch cylinder required

hi guyz

as just b4 leaving pakistan for srilanka my rx8 had a clutch failiure. and the clutch pedal was getting jammed towards the floor with no power to it. how ever it would get fine from time to time and then function normally.

but on the last day it had totaly gone, so i called in my michanic and he asked me to get the 2 clutch cylinders for it he said that one would fit up and the other one down. pointing out towards a round disc on the drivers side hood section possitioned right in front of the driver.

now upon searching through google i was shown the clutch cylinder to look a lot different from what my michanic had shown me.

now kindly guide me through this

and from wheare can i get this particular product and at what price.

is it a big install or an easy one since id like to fix it as soon as i get back.

im sure experts can help me out on this one.......since we ve got the rx8 gurus out here

Clutch master cylinder can be bougth from rotaryfx.com or mazmart. You can also get a rebuild kit from oreilly for cheap, I suggest you do the whole new cylinder. Our clutch pedals are known for breaking, that could be your issue also.

ur clutch pedals are known for breaking, that could be your issue also."[ ahm...well what was happening was the pedal would function properly but then all of a sudden loose pressure...... so i doubt it would be the pedal.

I suggest you do the whole new cylinder." yea i agree, i will have to locate the parts soon at a cheap price.
