A "clunk" over bumps
When I go over sudden bumps such as a pothole, I can hear a "clunk" coming from outside the vehicle when I have my windows down. This is the only time I hear the noise. It is somewhat metallic sounding, kind of like as if the wheel center caps were loose and making a "clank".
Does anyone have an idea what this might be and if it is an issue or not? Hopefully I can just tighten up something and have it go away?

If you think it's coming from the front wheels it might be this -

I had the same problem. I had an rx8 store exhaust that was hitting something when i went over bumps. I had a garage put some hangers on, went away. I have also noticed that when it gets hot out i have a sound coming from under the dash sounds like change rattleing or something . I found that when the inside of the car is very hot their is a clip holding a wiring harness under the dash near the gas pedal that rattles. put some tape on it and no more rattle. Hope this helps.
