climate control/radio display not working

ok, this is really the first major issue i have had with my 8.

2 days ago im putzing around with it, i pull the maf out to make sure there's no major oil build up or anything like that. put it back in.

next morning, hop in the car, late for work, raining its *** off, and my CEL is on, as well as traction control indicator, and like 1 other dash light. im like what the hell.

well, as im driving to work, i notice that power is kinda funny, and i get to thinking, damn, i had the MAF out, but did i plug it back in.

so i get to work, and fortunately the rain has cut back alot, so i pop the hood, and yes like a dumbass i left the MAF unplugged. plug it back in, restart the car, still have the CEL.

so i then proceed to reset the nvram and the kam. fixes the CEL. now my climate control display and radio display does not work. radio and everything works fine, just no display.

any suggestions?

edit: display is working, but have no backlight to see anything. i was driving to work today and the sun hit the display just right so i could see a shadow of what should be there, made some volume changes and verified it wasnt just a shadow but actual display info, but the red backlighting isnt there so i can see it under normal conditions.

Reboot....

...try a hard reboot by disconnecting the battery for five minutes.

You will have to centre the steering again, etc.

Might work, can't hurt.

Look in the owners manual for instructions on how to re-calibrate the DSC. That's what he meant.
