Clicking while idle?

I've been noticing a clicking sound while idleing. I also notice when it does click the rpm's drop a bit, maybe 250 RPM's or such. Any idea what it could be? Maybe spark plugs? Something worse?

If the a/c system is cycling, does it still make big hits on the RPM's?

excuse the noobie questions, just a bit confused.

that is what is slowing the rpm down.. now if the ? is if it slows down the car at high rpm, no. it shuts the ac off at i think it is 7500 rpm..

also if your car is an 04 look in the diy forum.. there is a button push procedure to slow down the cycling of the ac..

search ac amplifier. if you cant find it send me a pm.

beers

Here is a possibility.. if your air filter box has been opened recently, inspect it thoroughly if the box is securely fastened (the tiniest gap is enough to cause this) especially near the 2 fasteners. I heard this clicking sound on idle, with the idle being rougher than normal and sure enough it was this.
