Just got my 8 a few weeks ago, and after checking fluids etc, i've noticed how dirty it is under the hood. The covers are removable so I know I can clean those, but what about the rest? I'm wondering how I can go about cleaning the outside of the engine, basically everything under the hood. It is just plain dirty, and not much to look at when you pop the hood.

What I do is cover all electrical parts, spray on some engine degreaser (making sure not to get any on the paint of your car!), let sit for 10 min, then scrub and spray away! Then do a nice detailed clean with a cloth for all those hard to reach places
