CEL....wow

So I know this is a big issue with the RX8. But yesterday my 2004 rolled over to 64,000miles and later that night, I got into my car to drive it home and noticed the check engine light was on..it wasn't flashing, but just remained on constantly. I've never had problems with it before, and the car is running just fine, not cutting out or dying or anything like that. Any help is appreciated. I just hate staring down at that damn light...

check the small things first, if u pump gas make sure u close the gas lid all the way(it happens to me sometimes)....
and when was the last time u change the coils and plugs, wires? at 64k it might be that if the coils are 20-24k old

i bought mine with 62k and my cel came on at 66k the last time the coils were replace was at 20k so that was the problem right there...... you can feel the lost of power or the hessitation cus when i bought the car it was like that but as son as i change all the coils, plugs, wires i was way different.....

Go to autozone or advance they will check it for free in 2 minutes and tell you what it is then come back here with the code.....
