CEL went off

Hey everyone, been awhile since i've posted in this section, haha. anyways, my CEL has been solid for a few weeks already (haven't found time to check it out, and yes, that's stupid of me). Anyways, i want to think what you folks think it is.

Here's the circumstances, my car was in the body shop for a week prior to hot import nights (9/29/2009). My car flooded at the shop during that time, it was towed to Fremont Mazda on 9/28 to get deflooded. I don't have warranty so i paid 136 out of my pocket to find out you can just remove the fuel injector fuse, crank the car till it turns and the run it until all the fuel is out of your engine.... anyways, back to the story, the rx8 was good on the 28th after deflooding. I showed my car btw so i had to bring it in on the 28th. Anyways, a buddy of mine had to move my car cause i was at work, he didn't notice any CEL but i believe the traction control went off on him for some reason. Anyways, i started my car that night then there went the CEL. Scared, i had my friends follow me home, the 8 drove fine, didn't really notice any drop in power and i thought it was a misfire but it never stays sold if it was. Drove it around the next few days thinking it'll go away and it ended never happening. I've noticed a slight decrease in power and then noticed that my car has been running quite rich. When i start my car in the garage, you can smell fuel and lovely deadly gases (exaggeration). The lack of power stayed constant, not really much but there. The main thing that i noticed is the rich smell coming from my exhaust. I want to know what you folks think it is. I finally managed to clear my schedule to either get it checked up this week or next week.

The lack of power isn't that noticable because i haven't spirited driven my car since the flooding and b/c the CEL went off and i dont want to kill my baby.

(Just wanted to have a little fun with this )

haha, i was thinking of just doing that, well, i'm leaning over on getting the mazsport ignition solution in a bit so hopefully if its the coils, that'll fix it right up. other than that, im still interested in seeing what else people thinks about this.
