go to your local auto supply store and get the MIL code read. Then report back.

best bet is to stop and get the code read at a local autoparts store.

Without it, we will not be able to help you based on the information given.

Yumm +1 with other posts.

But 10 what?

-10c, -10Kelvin (now that's cold), -10F, -10 Bitches

You don't even have where you live in your little avatar section over there.

Are you in Canada?

Canadian Tire or NAPA auto might read the code for you for free.

The dealer or a Autoshop will likely charge you.

Or you can buy a code reading from Canadian Tire for a couple hundred I think.

By conventional knowledge that would be impossible (colder than absolute zero), however; from what I've been reading, in a certain system it can be considered really hot.

LOL yeah I understand absolute Zero.
I don't however understand your joke/sarcasm/or actual scientific reference to -10 kelvin being really hot in a certain system.

Sounds interesting if you are being serious ... link?

For starters:

Honestly, I haven't delved too far into it; thermodynamics isn't exactly my forte.

You guys forgot -10 roentgen. Everyone always forgets about poor lil roentgen. Its always kelvin, kelvin, kelvin. But seriously probably gonna be your O2 sensor when you get the code read. What's your mileage and when where your ignition coils and plugs changed last.

Interesting, thanks.

Yeah on the surface it seems like trickery of math while the atoms are in an abnormal state.

Damn we have completely hijacked this thread.

Mine came on soon after purchase as well, I got the code read and turned out to be the CAT is on it's last leg (that's why the light comes on and off at times). If your car is under any type of warranty take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. We have the lemon law in New York, not sure what you guys have up there

I remember I did put some gas last night.. But thass like 4-5 hours till I park in my garage and am pretty sure I close the cap and click it a few times.. Am suspecting maybe the cap itself is loose even its clicking.. Who knows until I get the codes.. But tnx for the guess..

Its all about quantum mechanics the string theory suggests that absolute zero is an equilibrium state when the vibrational constant of the atom is 0. So the hypothesis is ad you go colder than this equilibrium that the vibrational constant will increase. So even though its getting colder the atoms are acting as they would if temp is rising. Therefore the colder it gets the hotter it acts. Sorry oP couldn't help myself.

the PCM does the EVAP test after the car is parked for X amount of time. if system fails the test then the PCM lights the CEL the next time the car is started.

so a CEL on start with no previous signs of trouble is usually an evap test failure code. small is usually gas cap. large is usually a canister diaphragm etc require replacement of the evap system
