Ive searched and cant find anything similar to my issues I'm having...I was starting my 8 when it turned over for about 4 seconds in till it weakly started, a CEL accompanied that and is still on, ive noticed my gas mileage hasn't been normal lately also. I just got my 06 8 back in Jan. from a Mazda dealer it only has 25,000 on it and havent had any major issues since now. Could it be the coils or plugs?? Is that normal with the mileage I have? Also...i'm good at keeping up filling with oil. Appreciate the help guys!!

 

You can get the CEL code read for free at Autozone, but its probably a misfire code.
Plugs would be my first plan of attack.
Since you have an '06, you should have the upgraded starter.

 

and yes it is time to change the plugs. Manual says 30k but 25k miles seems better.
