CEL light scare Non mechanical Noob
I started my car this morning after not using it for about 3 days and the CEL started blinking it stayed on but when i went to back it out the car sounded like it bogged down like it was sucking to much air and if i didnt do high rev i couldnt move it. It stopped blinking now it just stays on im gonna take it in to dealership.
Only problem ive had with the car is the k and n filter was loose about a week ago i tightened the clamp and that was it.
History
2005 Sport
13000 miles
K&N intake typhoon v2
Any ideas what it could be ? Worried they might say something about K&N intake I also have an AMP running from the battery it has a fuse will they say anything about it
Now I broke a bottom clip on the OEM box I pulled the wrong way I wanted to put the OEM box on so they wont say i voided warranty with K&N the box is still sealed just clip broke in grommet
Any tips would be nice figures it would happen on the day i order footwell lamps from rotary rasp

Extraordinary Engineering
Good question...
How long was the K&N on the car before the CEL?
When did you install the amp?
Did you check the wiring and hoses around the air intake and battery box for damage?

You can clean the MAF sensor. I am unsure about the K&N intake but in the oem intake there are mesh screens that aid with the even distribution of airflow across the mass air sensor. The screens minimizes the possibility of “rough idle” issues that may occur if both stock screens are eliminated. You may only need the first screen

misfire happens on our motor. not often, but its possible.
Clear your CEL first. Make SURE your K&N is tight. and remember, clean that son of a bitch every 5 K miles or so. due to the design, it catches a LOT of dirt and it builds up MAD quick.
Why I know? Happy user for over 20 K miles

Folloe the instructions in the sticky.
disconnect battery and clear theECU.
Drive it for a few cycles.
That's what I would do.
If you have a problem it will come back.
