CEL - gone??? wtf??

Ok, couple weeks ago got a CEL, figured it was a misfire or an O2 sensor (car was fine).

so had a fuse blow for the cigarette lighter, figured while i was replacing it, i would wire in a 12v outlet (where the passenger airbag switch on foreign models is). well, after i was done, and inserted the fuse, the CEL is gone...

i'm at a loss as to what the heck just happened.

You could have blown the light or CEL relay while doing the wiring.

Or maybe - just maybe - you went through enough on/off cycles for the code to clear itself. Which they do if the problem doesn't recur.

The code should still be in memory. I suggest you find someone with a scanner and read it, so you know what it was.

CEL light still shows when i turn the car on (all lights)

relay, not sure. tapped into the wire for the lighter after the fuse (same circuit)

but yeah, need to get it checked. pulling out the revi intake and going stock to take in to check the engine. warrenty almost up and getting as many issues noted before, just in case.

Just kidding about blowing the light.

Pull the code so you know whether it's something that matters.
