CD player won't even turn on anymore.

My cd player (6 disc) stopped playing CDs like it wouldn't even try to say reading or flash the disc number or anything. When I listen closely I can hear the cd changer working back there so what can be the problem? I can't even eject my CDs. I was thinking about just ripping it apart and re solder everything but I'm not so sure that would even fix it or if it's a good idea. Is this a common problem with Rx8s?

Yeah they go out. Mine and two other friends that have 8's had cds stuck and just stop working. It sounds like a little motor turning but it wont play the cd. When mine went not even the radio would work lol

My radio works fine. It's just my CD player.. It's not so bad for short distance but for trips from San Diego to Irvine or LA I really miss it. Especially in traffic.

I was wondering if there was a plug that usually comes loose from vibration. since I have a pretty stiff suspension set up and my car is pretty low I was thinking that could have knocked something loose back there. I'm not really looking to spend money on another OEM cd player since I might as well just wire in an aux port from radio shack for pennies.
