Carbon Fiber Trunk Issue
Hey guys.. I just installed my CF trunk but for some reason I can't get it to close all the way...it's going all the way down but it looks like the weather strip might be preventing it from closing, or maybe it's not heavy enough to attach to the trunk latch.... if anyone could help or give some advice let me know...thanks

Yea, I had to go barbaric on it and push down really hard on it.
I'll make sure to take pics once I get my rear bumper fixed...some lady rear ended me yesterday and cracked my rear . So probably monday i'll go see if it's worth getting fixed or my friend has an extra mazdaspeed rear, so I might get that painted and throw it on....

Assuming you used the factory hinges to mount the new trunk lid, your problem might be there. A while back I had stopped in a power wash to get a little road dust off my 8, and unbeknownst to me as I got back in the car the ceiling mounted hose pivoted and wound up drapping the hose over the passenger rear quarter panel. As I started to exit the booth the hose caught on my Mazdaspeed rear wing a tad and this was enough pressure to sproing the hinges a little on both sides. They are flimsy enough that I was able to rework them with just hand pressure to get the trunk lid realigned with the car body so the trunk would clsoe again and the seams lined up.
