Okay so my carbon fiber hood is horible... I need help! Who should I go to? It has splotches of fadeing... Its just horrible.. I was told to wet sand it and re clear coat it!! But idk who to trust to get this issue out...

 

go to a few body shops. look at there work then make your choice. My cf hood was the same way when i got it used cost me no more the $115 to get it sanded and reclear coated. Looks like it brand new now.

 

Alright will do I went to 1 they said u would haft to paint it I was like no thanks.... The other 1 said around 6hundred I was like gosh that's a lot... So ill keep looking I hope I find something soon its awful..... Makes my whole car look awful...

 

Pull the shirt down a bit and watch the price fall...use that advantage!

 

600 bucks to hand sand and clear coat isnt the worst price for a badly damaged hood. The nice thing is once it's properly clear coated it won't need to be painted again.. just wax and care for it like the rest of your paint.

Ha yeah I have been told that a lot with the shirt thing... Umm the hood itself was jus a lil more so I could just buy a new 1 for that I would just like to get mine fixed... It throws my whole car off...
